Day 15, Muscular Dystrophy Association
Christy, a SAHM to her active two-year-old son & wife to a professional firefighter, can be found at Shake The Salt offering a plethora of reviews & giveaways, frugal shopping, and other great stuff; as well as at Simply Sensational Divas Review, where 7 moms offer reviews on great books & products.

I am honored and privileged to share with you a little about the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Jerry’s Kids) & their relationship with the International Association of Fire Fighters.
The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is the largest national sponsor of the MDA. More than 280,000 members of the IAFF in the United States and Canada are pledged to saving lives, both as fire fighters and paramedics and as the strongest campaigners for the worldwide research efforts of MDA to eradicate 40 neuromuscular diseases. The contributions of the fire fighters also go towards MDA’s summer camps for children, professional and public health education, and other programs. (from IAFF-MDA Partnership History)
Also close to our hearts is the ALS Division of MDA as we have a close, personal friend diagnosed in his early thirties with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (sometimes known as Lou Gehrig’s disease).
To donate $1 to Muscular Dystrophy Association to help further the research into muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases, click here. Please use “One Dollar Give” in the dedication portion of the donation form. After you’ve donated, come back and vote in the poll so that we can count donations!
(Yes, the poll offers you the choice between “Yes.” and “Yes.” because I didn’t think we really needed to count the “No” answers, and the poll required two choices! Hey, it’s not a perfect system, but it’ll work!)
